The weather is back to normal after a week of snow and ice. I am sitting in my fly tying room, the fireplace behind me carrying a nice warmth throughout the room and the theme song from "Dances with Wolves" plays on the radio. A perfect atmosphere to write this fishing report and tie a variety of flies for winter trout- and steelhead fishing.

To me, there is magic in winter wilderness trout fishing. Snow on the shore, tracks of wild animals and bald eagles on the trees in a breathtaking display of natures best. Join us for this unusual spectical - time away from it all.

Trout fishing has been good on the wilderness rivers and will continue to be good all the way into late spring. Comes May, we switch wilderness rivers and concentrate on sea run bull trout ranging up to 12 lbs from mid June on. Long way to go til than, therefore we stick with rainbows, cutties, bull trout, steelhead and dolly varden char.
We are offering wilderness fly fishing trips throughout the winter season in a spectacular landscape where the chance of seeing another human being is small. We take you there in the luxury of our fully covered and heated jet boats and spoil you during the trip with a mouthwatering BBQ shore lunch of wild bison and/or wild salmon. You will notice our 15th anniversary special. This is a One time deal for a certain time period in 2011 in order to celebrate 15 years of healthy growth combined with hard work, dedication and love for fly fishing and fly tying. I always carry a fly tying kit with me on the boat in order to provide "your" special hand tied fly in case it makes a difference for you compared to the flies I have tied during the non fishing days. We have a few nice surprises ready for next season. As you are aware, we are expecting an exceptional salmon run this coming September with Millions of pink salmon (humpies) followed by huge numbers of chum salmon (dog or keta salmon) and of course the sought after coho salmon, also called silvers by our American friends. Regardless of the package of your choice - you will have a memorable time with our professional fly fishing guides.
