British Columbia Fly Fishing Report, Oct.26, 2010

It is amazing to see, how this season is shaping up. In the past 15 years we haven`t seen anything like it as far as Coho Salmon fishing goes, also called Silvers. 3 rivers full of them and a dream for any fly fishing enthusiast. We managed to land 3 king salmon on the spey rod in the last few days with our friends Ian Monroe and company from the UK. Wilderness fishing has been superb this season, although one of our rivers is blow out due to a huge mudslide, in fact the 2nd biggest slide in the history of our Country - an entire mountain broke off and blocked the river. Since we have the luxury of fishing 5 other rivers of choice, we always can switch to waters, that aren`t blow out.
We are very excited to offer some quality fly fishing over the next few months. We still fish for coho salmon for another 3 weeks, than we switch into our wilderness rivers and some smaller streams in order to catch a variety of trout and char. Here are some pictures of our guests from last week. Hope you enjoy them.

British Columbia Fly Fishing Report, Oct.08, 2010

INSANE fly fishing with rivers full of salmon. This is a fly fishermen`s Valhalla whether you are a single handed or a double handed fly angler. We estimate that currently are about 2 Million salmon congregated over a stretch of 8 miles of rivers. It is HEAVEN ON EARTH for any fly fishing purist. If you would like to experience this, book your last minute trip, since we have a few openings left. This fantastic kind of fishing will continue until the 2nd week of November. We cover a total of 6 rivers on the fly, mostly for salmon with trout optional. Wilderness fly fishing has also be incredible and should continue to do so all the way into December for salmon and all the way into May for nice size trout.
